South East Queensland ATV group general meeting 2/12/2011

The Technical committee of the SEQATV group proposed that the club builds a digital ATV transmitter for the clubs ATV
repeater VK4RMG at it's current site using the existing licenced allocation.
The proposal was passed and donations accepted towards the transmitter costs.

It was noted that the SEQATV group would welcome input from other interested radio clubs and that the
Brisbane Digital ATV group is presently helping by providing a 1283 MHz input to their Digital ATV repeater VK4RKC.

South East Queensland ATV group general meeting 4/11/2011

At the November SEQATV group general meeting, the SEQATV group gave the Brisbane Digital Amateur Television Group
permission to commence testing digital TV transmission on 446.5 MHz from their Ocean View repeater site.
It is hoped that if the testing goes well, the two groups will combine their ATV repeaters in the near future.

 

February 2012 general meeting

The February SEQATV group general meeting will be held on Friday February 3 at the Chermside Library, room 2b.
The meeting will start at 7:30PM; if you arrive late, please push the buzzer for entry.
The library is near the shops on the corner of Hamilton Rd and Kittyhawk Dr (enter from Kittyhawk Dr).

The VK4RMG ATV repeater has been moved from Wamuran to to Ocean View.  Coverage  is from the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane North to Brisbane South.

The VK4RMG Ocean View ATV repeater antennas have been moved !
Viewers are reporting a 6dB (4 times) received signal increase in the Brisbane area.
Even if you have never seen a signal on 444.25 MHz, please have a look now.
The 2m liaison frequency is 145.700 MHz simplex. has a 30 Watt power amp.   Antennas consist of a nine element Yagi facing towards Brisbane and a single side mounted dipole for the Gold Coast fed with a phasing harness.  Both antennas are located right at the top of the tower.

 

VK4RTQ 438.025 MHz FM voice repeater

The repeater has a 30 Watt power amp.   Antennas consist of a nine element Yagi facing towards Brisbane and a single side mounted dipole for the Gold Coast fed with a phasing harness.  Both antennas are located right at the top of the tower.
